THE NSC LOTTERY IS OFFICIALLY OPEN!
APPLY NOW FOR 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR.

Those who meet minimum qualifications (2.5 cumulative GPA & on track to graduate) will be selected through a random lottery process. Selected students are required to take the mandatory university placement exams upon admission. Students will be enrolled in pre-selected required cohort classes. They will also choose additional classes from a wide selection of courses at UAF. A district school counselor and a university academic advisor will work together to help students select appropriate classes to maintain their high school graduation track and pursue post-secondary interests.

If you are applying North Star College and DO NOT currently attend an FNSBSD school, please email current transcripts to stacey.kennedy@k12northstar.org to expedite the approval process.

The 2024-25 North Star College school year lottery opens on Dec. 11, 2023 and closes Feb. 23, 2024. The processing of lottery wait listed applications for approval will begin Feb. 26.  Parents and students of approved applications will be contacted via phone/email starting March 1, 2024. 

NOTE: If these deadlines are missed and you're still interested in attending NSC for the 24-25 school year, the lottery will reopen from March 20, 2024-Aug.1, 2024. Applications will be placed on the lottery waitlist and then processed for eligibility as enrollment allows.
